2/. Chemtrails Over Canberra? Date: Friday November 2, 2001.

Note: September 2002: I haven't noticed chemtrails over Canberra since about March 2002. Between just before Christmas 2001 and mid-February 2002 there weren't any that I noticed. Then around mid-February I noticed Chemtrails on numerous days for the next month and a bit. Some new feedback comments have been added below.

Note: December 8 2001: on numerous days since November 2 (read below), the skies over Canberra have had similar unusual wispy clouds, like the sky is full of smoke. Also, the sunlight occasionally reflects an unusual array of colours from some of these. I've again noticed planes flying over leaving long "chemtrails" in a similar fashion to that on November 2 (read below). In comparison, I've also noticed planes leaving normal short vapour contrails, which dissapear after 10-30 seconds. In contrast, the apparent chemtrails last for hours, even days. We normally do not have much air traffic.

November 2, 2001: At midday I went outside to catch my bus to work. I noticed the sky was streaked with lots of wispy, dissolving "clouds". Most stretched from horizon to horizon, in a north to south direction, apparently across the entire length of Canberra. I took a few photos, some of which can be seen via this page. The sky certainly does not normally look like that here.

However, these photos, being only little parts of the sky, don't portray the full scope. There seemed to be about 10-20 trails in the sky. One half of the sky was covered in a general wispy haze, that contained apparent lines of various thickness which went from the north to the south of the viewable sky. After taking a few photos I noticed one of the planes flying north to south. It was very high up.

A few minutes later I saw another plane flying south to north on the other side of the sky. A saw a few other planes (or some of the same ones) emitting these trails over the next 30 or so minutes. I figured, from the look of the sky (numerous wide, dispersing trails) that the planes had been "laying trails" for at least several hours. We rarely have airplanes fly over where we are.

Later in the day, when I next went outside at about 4p.m., the skies over Canberra (as seen in the city area) were covered with hazy clouds, with some normal puffy clouds here and there. In the evening and night, my eyes stung quite a lot and my joints ached. I have no idea whether this was anything to do with the Chemtrails or due to something else (like fighting off a cold?). I doubt that whatever is in the "Chemtrails" (some say aluminium), if that's what they were(!), could have fallen to earth level so fast, but how would I know.

I've read about cases of biological and chemical experiments done by the U.S. military over U.S. cities. For that (and a million other reasons) I was always glad I did not live there, but in quiet Australia. And now it seems like it's maybe happening here. Yikes!

In any case, I'm no cloud nor air-traffic expert. Though the sky and planes seemed a bit unusual for around here, for several of us, so I thought I'd inform folk just in case others know more. And if, in the possibility that this "chemtrails" thing has substance in it: be sure you read the article by William Thomas listed at the top of this page! ;-)

"Hello, I felt compelled to add to the ever increasing opinion on chemtrails.
I am a resident of Sydney and travel to the Mount Victoria area in the Blue Mountains most weekends.I have for approx 4 years been witnessing chemtrail planes and clouds over the Blue Mountains region and as far out to Bathurst on most days.There appears to be some truth as far as i can see, that they tend to spray on low wind days and always in front of a "weather front" approaching generally from the west or south west.You can clearly see the real clouds from the front and the chem clouds mixing.
Last saturday there were 2 planes over Lithgow spraying at the same time.
I have also come to notice that spraying is being conducted over the Sydney region under the cover of darkness, as when i wake early the sky has all the telltale signs of spraying. I am almost certain that it is a weather experiment based on my observation of rainclouds literally getting the rain sucked out of them from the chemtrails. If the weather front is strong enough even the chemtrails will not stop it raining though, as witnessed at Bathurst and in the mountains this weekend.
Personally i would like to hire my own plane and follow a sprayer, with a few commited people this could certainly be achieved. As an investigator by trade i'm adept at finding solutions to situations, but getting the talkers and the doers moving to achieve something is a different matter. Im sure one day it will all come to light, in the meantime i will continue to get sprayed." Murray, 12-October-2002.
